Dear Colleagues,

We invite you to participate in the international scientific event that will take place in Vatra Dornei, Suceava county (Romania), organized by the University of Suceava, Geoconcept Association of Applied Geography, and SC Catalina Green SRL, and supported by the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization of Romania.

At the initiative of the University of Suceava and Geoconcept Association of Applied Geography, we are organizing the 9th conference dedicated to environmental changes and conservation entitled Environmental protection and conservation in the context of current climate changes and geopolitical challenges (EUnviRO2025), which will take place between 9-12 October 2025 at the Training and Continued Education Center in Vatra Dornei/ Centrul de Pregatire si Formare Continua Vatra Dornei (Suceava county, Romania).

We welcome diverse scientific contributions focusing on environmental protection and conservation, past and present climate and environmental changes and their effects on abiotic and biotic landscapes / biodiversity, and environmental management in the context of increasing geopolitical challenges. The proposed sections are indicative. We are open to making adjustments and introducing new sections as long as we receive feedback regarding the topics of interest from participating researchers.

• participation fee: covers accommodation and meal expenses in full during the conference. Amount: onsite participation: 40 Euros (registration until September 15, 2025);
• young researchers (under the age of 35) or participants from developing countries can apply for a fee reduction or transportation costs covered by the organizers;
• the papers presented at the conference will be published in a Web of Science volume and BDI Journal;
• the conference will benefit from the presence of 8 keynote speakers from Europe, Asia, North America and South America;
• the abstracts will be published in a special issue (book of abstracts) of the Geoconcept Journal;
• registration: by email to mindrescu@atlas.usv.ro. Please specify the names of the authors (the corresponding author should be mentioned – the one with whom we will communicate and who will present the work), the title of the work, and the corresponding author’s email address. We advise participants to attach the document file containing the abstract (see the section on the website called Download Abstract Template) to the email.
